Hi readers! Hope you all had an excellent weekend. 🙂
8 incredibly great blogs have nominated me for The Versatile Blogger Award! A big thanks to Someday Sunny, Makeup Crush Blog, Plus Beauty, Pores for Thought, Avon Insider Blog, Same Tay Different Day, Talking About Beauty and Thoughtsandthings1 for this!
The Rules:
1. Link the person who nominated you
2. Share 7 facts about yourself
3. Nominate 15 other blogger who have less than 200 followers
4. Notify all nominees via social media/blogs
My 7 Facts:
1. Although I don’t mind seeing blood, just hearing the word blood makes me feel weak.
2. I get mistaken for Persian all the time.
3. When I was 6, I wanted to be a ballerina, detective, doctor, teacher and model. I figured I could choose one for each day of the week. 🙂
4. The smell of cigarettes makes me physically sick. I can’t be around people who smoke for long without feeling nauseous.
5. I’m a stickler for manners. ‘Please’ and ‘thank you’ go a long way along with respecting others.
6. Carnations and tulips are some of my favorite flowers.
7. I once had a blind date at Knott’s Scary Farm. Yikes! Yeah, that didn’t go well at all.
My nominees
I’m breaking the rules a bit but if you’re reading this, then I nominate you. 🙂
Thanks for reading and I’ll work on my other awards when I get a chance.
Enjoy your Tuesday,
Stephanie

A blind date to Knots scary farm!? Gosh, it doesn’t even SOUND pleasant!
stephieestie says
Yes Kaily, it was horrible! It was one of my friend’s coworkers brother and it was supposed to be a group thing but then my friend couldn’t make it at the last minute so there you have it. It’s another crazy story to add to my dating adventures for sure! Haha.
Kaily says
hehe, well I’ve got to live though everyone else’s experiences cause I didn’t date much. The worst I ever had was a guy who wanted me to pay for the drinks since he paid for dinner… at Arby’s. But that doesn’t sound like it was fun. I bet you were pissed at your friend! I wonder if they ditched on purpose… awkward!
stephieestie says
Ah, well you’re lucky you were spared these moments. Oh my gosh, that’s too funny. Arby’s? Really? I don’t think there are words for him, lol. Yeah it wasn’t fun. I am actually not a huge fan of scary things but by the end of this night, I was so pissed, all the ‘monsters’ avoided me. I was actually pretty upset, yes. I was left with people I didn’t know and they were nice to a point but still it was awkward. To top it all off, about half his family went and every second, I was being invited to family gatherings, and kept getting asked, ‘He’s nice right? You’d go out with him again right? What do you think of him?’ Oy! I seriously kept looking for hidden cameras because I felt like I was on a TV show.
Kaily says
OMG and it gets worse! Wow. At least you have a good story, haha. OMG LOL’d @all the monsters avoided me.
stephieestie says
At least I have a story, lol. I find it funny now because I am super scared of things like monsters but I was so annoyed and pissed that they didn’t want to deal with me. I was called sassy by some and every time they headed towards my direction, I gave a look that made them go away. 🙂

Aw, cute answers! <3 So what's up with Knots scary farm? Is there something behind that? Being an east coaster I only know it as Knots Berry Farm. Also I love tulips! Two years ago planted about 50 bulbs around my house, they sprout every spring!
stephieestie says
Haha thanks! Okay yeah so it’s Knotts Berry Farm but each year around Halloween time it turns into Knotts Scary Farm, where they decorate the park with scary mazes, etc. This was supposed to be a group thing one of my friends invited me to. She had a coworker who had a single brother but then my friend didn’t end up going at the last minute and I got stuck with these people I didn’t know. 🙁
Jen says
Oh boy, sounds like a disaster! I was wondering if you just went during Halloween or if it was called Knotts Scary Farm because they had some kind of tragedies there or something. lol We had an amusement park not too far from where I grew up called action park but there were so many injuries that happened on the grounds it was called traction park. I thought maybe the Knotts Berry went down hill. Ha!

Scary Farm at Knott’s is something I want to do sometime. I have friends who go every year and the mazes look crazy. I’m a big chicken, but I like to go to Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens. I love a good scare but hate blood & gore. But last year they had a house (on the east coast we call them “houses” & on the west coast they call them “mazes”) where you went through with a laser tag gun ans “shot” at zombies! That was SO much fun! Another house scared one my friends so bad he fell down! Someday you guys will need to remind me to tell my “scream cam” story. It’s hilarious now but it was traumatizing when it happened. LOL!
stephieestie says
It’s pretty scary, well at least for me because I too am a huge chicken, lol. I swore I would never go and that’s where I ended up, haha. The laser tag house/maze sounds pretty fun! I don’t think Knott’s has anything like that so you were lucky. If you want a really good scare, I think Universal Studios has the best mazes/houses and special effects. I’ve seen the setup and it’s insane! Haven’t had the courage to actually go though. I definitely need to hear about the scream cam story now. 🙂 I know what you mean, my story is kind of funny now but at that time, it was anything but. Hope to hear about it!

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal looks too intense for me. I have some friends who are serious big time haunt fans. I think they’re all insane, but I digress. The few times I’ve done Howl-O-Scream I had a blast, but I usually try to avoid the houses and just get my scares in the scare zones scattered throughout the park. But I had to try the shoot ’em up zombie house (it was called Zombie Containment Unit 15) and totally loved it because it had some scares but no real gore. This past year Knott’s did something kind of similar but it was in the whole Camp Snoopy section of the park. I heard it was pretty fun. They had a house a few years based on stories by Edgar Allan Poe that was really cool and freaky. Anything super gory though… BLEGH! I know it’s not real but I can’t stomach it.
stephieestie says
The Edgar Allan Poe sounds familiar. I think I went into that one. I went in 2013 so I must have missed the other one. Horror Nights does seem intense but a small (very small) part of me feels like doing it just once. Not sure if I’ll get the courage though, lol. I tend to just look at the floor when walking in the mazes but it doesn’t work when the ‘monsters’ catch on, haha.
TheMakeupCase17 says
Knotts had a Poe house as well but it was very different from the one at Busch Gardens. I try to act like they can’t scare me by talking to the actors like, “How you doing?” But they always end up getting me after I pass them (the come back from behind). LOL!
stephieestie says
Same thing happens to me but I think I am more obvious about it so that’s why they don’t leave alone. I am an easy target. The only time I didn’t get scared was when I was annoyed with how my ‘date’ was going. I managed to fend off any monsters because I was pissed, lol. I think that is key to not getting scared. 🙂
stephieestie says
it was! It’s one for the books though. Haha. No, Knott’s is still doing pretty good. Just during Halloween it’s Knott’s Scary Farm and during Christmas it’s Knott’s Merry Farm. 🙂 I feel like I’ve heard of action park but can’t place it. Oh and I totally forgot to comment on the tulips. It must look so pretty. If you can, take pictures during spring- it would be nice to see. 🙂
Jen says
I’ll have pics of them up on instagram once spring hits. Follow me on instagram @jennstar33 and I’ll follow you back! 😉 It’s still more of a personal account right now.

That’s so cool we both did this post today! Congrats on your nominations! 🙂 I love tulips!

Thanks and likewise! Well deserved Cos! Yes, tulips are pretty flowers. My mom used to work for a company that imported flowers so it was always cool to see how they were stored and I always loved looking at them,. 🙂

Loved reading your facts! Manners are so important x

Thank you! 🙂

Hehe. These are fun facts :0) a blind date at Knott’s Halloween does seem scary!! And, I agree. Please and thank you are musts. ☺️
stephieestie says
Yes, it was. A fitting destination for that type of ‘date’, lol. It drives me nuts when simple words like please and thank you aren’t practiced. I was strictly raised like that and while I didn’t understand it then, I can surely appreciate now. 🙂
avibrantday says
Me, too. I have the same experience. Simple courtesies make all the difference.
