Hi everyone! How was everyone’s Easter weekend?
It’s been awhile since I have done a tag but I thought it would be something fun to do today. I was nominated by Rahma from Glamorous Etioles for the Beauty Blogger Tag so if you’d like to get to know more about me and beauty, keep reading.
The Rules for this Tag:
Tag the blogger that nominated you
Answer the questions you were given
Nominate 10 bloggers whose blog is about beauty/lifestyle/fashion
Name 10 questions for your nominees to answer
Inform the bloggers you chose that you nominated them
1. Have you ever done yoga and did you like it?
Yes and yes. To be honest though, when I first started yoga, I didn’t care for it. It wasn’t until I was invited to attend a yoga workshop hosted by Danielle Cuccio that I actually learned to appreciate it. The Powerflow session was done to a great playlist and I’ve been hooked ever since.
2.What products do you splurge on?
Skincare and makeup of course. 😉
3.What products do you save on?
I would say nail polish mainly because I hardly buy any.
4.What is your best tip for maintaining healthy skin?
Sunscreen is a must for healthy skin, so rain or shine, chemical or physical, make sure to apply it. Also, keeping your skin hydrated is important as well.
5.What do you use to remove your makeup?
It depends what I have in my skincare arsenal. Makeup wipes, cleansing oils and cream based cleansers are a few that I like to keep around.
6.How do you maintain your eyebrows (example, threading/waxing)?
Threading, tweezing and sometimes waxing. My eyebrows grow like wildfire so if I don’t keep up monthly maintenance routine, I need to resort to all three.
7:What is your favorite mascara?
At the moment, I would have to say Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Mascara
8.Where do you buy most of your makeup?
I would say Sephora and online about equally.
9.What is your favorite shade of lipstick?
An unfair question to ask a beauty blogger and beauty addict if you ask me. However, currently I’m in love with any and all pink/nude shades.
10.What is your favorite perfume?
Ange ou Demon Le Secret by Givenchy. It’s a bit on the pricey side but I love to buy it when it comes in a set.
That’s it for this tag. I hope you enjoyed reading a little bit more about me and thanks to Rahma for the nomination! Check out her blog and give her a follow while you’re at it. Consider yourself tagged if you want to participate.

I splurge on skincare too. I like to save on mascara – I find drugstore mascaras just as good as higher end ones.
I know people always want what they don’t have but I wish I had eye brows like yours! Mine are so sparse, I’m always trying to find ways to make them look fuller. 😛
Fun tag! I think I did this one a while back, but some of the questions evolved over time. 😛

Yeah mascara is also one I don’t splurge on too much unless I really love the formula and it doesn’t burn my eyes. Aww well these eyebrows are something else, lol. I once went about 3 months without really doing much except plucking hairs here and there. When I finally went to get them threaded, I kid you not, she took about 15 minutes per eyebrow. She threaded, tweezed, trimmed and waxed. Um lesson learned, don’t wait too long in between. lol. I have a bit of sparse areas as well but since my brows are curly, it’s not too noticeable. Have you tried something like Revitalash for your eyebrows? I hear it makes the hairs grow and it might benefit you. I feel so bad because I get tagged and nominated for stuff and I hardly ever do them. Not because I don’t want to of course but I honestly forget. I’m like, yay thanks so much, it looks fun and then I forget. I think I was tagged last week or two weeks ago and I’m surprised I remembered. 🙂

I guess we all want what we don’t have! 😛 I’ve not tried anything to help my brows grow – I have tried lash serums but nothing so potent like Revitalash – I worry about the side effects!
Eh sometimes tags and awards are like chain letters… there’s nothing to say you HAVE to do them! 😉

Well, there is this sort of new eyebrow thing called 3D Eyebrow Embroidery. Eyebrow embroidery creates the background and fills in the parts of the eyebrows that looked empty so that a full and complete look is accomplished. The “3D” effect gives it an added realism to the end result. Something to think about. 🙂

Awe, loved this! I’m learning to spend more on skincare now that my wrinkles are showing lol. Maybe one day I’ll try yoga and like it too!
stephieestie says
Did the skincare stuff I sent work for you? I’d say use a cream based cleanser so you don’t dry out your skin and invest in a nice moisturizer. When skin is hydrated, wrinkles show less. 😉 There’s different types of yoga so I guess it’s all about choosing one that you feel comfortable with. I will say music makes a HUGE difference for me. Create a playlist you love, pair it with the yoga video and trust me, you might have a different perspective. 🙂

I haven’t tried any of them yet 🙁 My face has been breaking out like CRAZY! I couldn’t figure out what was wrong especially since I haven’t really changed anything in my routine and I’ve been drinking tons of water and eating so much better! Then I saw a nutritionist on YouTube who was talking about dairy sensitivity and how it can cause breakouts and I think that’s it cause I’ve gone from eating like no dairy to 5-6 servings a day! As soon as I get this mess cleaned up I’m going to try them out 🙂 I’m really excited! I agree with you on the moisturizer too. I’m on the hunt for one now. I like the Osea one but it’s sooo expensive ($98). As for the music and yoga, I never thought of that. I thought yoga was all about quite so I was surprised to read about that in your post too. I’ll have to investigate! So do you sill go to the class or do you just set everything up at home now that you’ve discovered you love it?
stephieestie says
Yes sometimes dairy is a trigger for
acne so maybe try reducing it and see if it helps. Also keep in mind that your hormones might be a bit crazy right now which can contribute to fun skin issues. ? Hope you get to try them soon! I never really thought of yoga and music either. I went home and tried a video without music and I realized the impact it made. I do a Powerflow session which is not as relaxing as a candlelight yoga session. I do like the relaxing one too and even then you can have a more mellow playlist without it having to be nature sounds. At least that’s my take. Whenever I can, I try to make it to Danielle’s class but it’s in LA so kind of a drive for me. I took one at my gym but it would get so crowded and I’d be annoyed which defeated the purpose of relaxing, lol. I find videos on YT and do those at home. I’m no pro yet but it helps me with posture, stress and stretching. My body is pretty sore the next day too which tells me I worked something out. ?

Ooh I absolutely love that Givenchy perfume! I love how it’s quite a spicy scent but then you get that hint of what smells like rose. It’s discontinued in South Africa though so I might be remembering it terribly wrong. 😀
stephieestie says
I’m not sure if I pick up the spicy factor but it is a very unique fragrance and unlike anything I’ve smelled. Too bad it was discontinued in South Africa. 🙁

Wow the tag is so cute!! I really love it & I also splurge on skincare tooo. Infact im a skincare junkee hehe 🙂
Jen says
Yep, I’m the same way for the most part on skincare. If I find a good skincare product though on the cheap I’m a loyal customer. lol Cute tag post!
stephieestie says
Yes, if you can find a cheap skincare product, then that’s great. Unfortunately for me that’s not my case. 🙁 It’ll be a miracle, haha. What can you do? Only keep looking I guess. Also, since my esthetic schooling, I feel like I got a bit more picky, lol.
