Treat your lips to a sweet treat this Valentine’s Day weekend with an easy scrub. Just combine small amounts of sugar (brown sugar also works) and honey, apply the mixture on your lips and buff away dead and flaky skin. Remove with warm water and top it off with your favorite lip balm. The end result? A soft, kissable pout. Bonus: Your lip color will apply more smoothly and evenly.
Personal update: I know I have been MIA for the last few days and I apologize but I was slammed with some kind of variation of the flu. I’ve been battling a stubborn fever, congestion that makes my head feel it’s ready to explode and a painful ear infection. 🙁 I know I have some catching up to do and comments to get back to so please bear some patience-I will get back to you. 🙂
I hope all of you have a lovely weekend and thank you for the support.

Thank you! I am starting to thanks to the medications but it really surprised me because I was fine Monday and come Tuesday night, it went full force. So scary how things turn out sometimes.

Oh no! That stinks you got the flu, hope you feel better soon! Have a great weekend xoxo Janet

Thank you Janet. The medication is helping but I’ll be spending the weekend recuperating. 🙁

Get better soon! I’m still coughing from the flu I got in January. This year’s flu has been rough. Hope yours is not too bad.
stephieestie says
Thanks Cos. I agree with you. This ‘flu’ came out of nowhere it seems. I was fine Monday and Tuesday is when I started feeling bad. Have you gone to the doctor’s for the cough? Maybe they can put you on a that machine that helps you breathe (ventilator?) or prescribe something else. Coughing is the worst and I just don’t want you to develop something else 🙁 The medication is helping but my energy level is still zilch. At least not as much pressure anymore at the moment.

My last cold medicine did not work, so now I am on allergy medicine. Basically I’m suppose to stay out of the cold, but there is snow everywhere so it is difficult.
stephieestie says
awww. You should move out to SoCal. Our weather this week was in the 80s, though I was freezing through half of it because of my fever. Hope this medication works better.
theworldofcos says
My friends keep telling me to move out there. Thanks! Stay warm.

Hope you regain your energy level soon. Mine came back up after the pressure was gone so sounds like you are going toward recovery. Get btr soon!

Thank you! I feel much better today than the last few days but can’t wait to get back 100%. 🙂 Hope you recover soon too!

Sounds like a nice natural lip scrub, I’ll have try. In the winter my lips do not like to behave. I’m sorry you’ve been sick, I think it’s just going around. I caught a nasty cold in Florida, I’m trying to get over it.
stephieestie says
It’s a super easy scrub! 🙂 I wish you a speedy recovery too! Stay warm. 🙂

Thanks for this. I always used just sugar and water, never knew about the honey part. xx

You can use honey or oil as a base because sometimes I find the water dissolves the sugar. Hope this works for you. 🙂
