Hi everyone! I’m back from my short blogging break and it’s just in time to bring you my March Birchbox review. Let’s hop to it! 🙂
Cargo Land Down Under Eye Shadow Palette
These smooth eyeshadows are said to be highly pigmented and easy to blend to create a variety of looks. Most likely I will not try these as I have something similar already, however if they’re anything like their blushes, you can bet these claims are true.
Number 4 Hydrating Shampoo
This sulfate-free, vitamin-rich cleanser claims to repair and protect dry and brittle hair. I have curly hair which can definitely benefit from extra hydration. This shampoo lathered nicely despite it being sulfate-free, and left my hair feeling smoother and clean. In my opinion, the scent is a little more on the masculine side but not overpowering.
Number 4 Hydrating Condition (Bonus)
Oddly enough, I have yet to try this one but once I do, I will try to update it on here.
Dr. Lipp Miracle Balm
This “100% natural formula,” rehydrates skin, soothes sunburns, tames unruly brows and nourishes thirsty cuticles. I’ve only tried this as a lip balm and I quite like it. It has a very thick consistency, much like the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask, which intensely moisturizes lips but makes the product hard to squeeze out of the tube.
theBalm cosmetics Stainiac Beauty Queen
I’m a fan of Benefit’s Benetint, so I was curious as how this would compare. Stainiac is theBalm cosmetics’ best-selling stain that gives cheeks and lips a sheer and rosy tint. Unlike Benetint, the consistency on this is a little bit tackier instead of watery. It leaves behind a nice rosy color that has good lasting power but comes off while eating and drinking. I like it for a sheer wash of color and it’s as good as Benetint to me.
Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Eye-Opening Serum
This 5-in-1 eye serum, “lifts, firms, smooths, hydrates and restores the sensitive skin around the eye for a more youthful look.” I’m fond of a couple of Kiehl’s products and I was glad to see another sample from them. I didn’t see a huge improvement with this eye serum, perhaps because I don’t have major issues with my eye area, but it is lightweight and didn’t migrate into my eyes which I love.

Overall, I thought this box was well rounded and I’m happy with it. 🙂
Have you tried any of these brands? What’s your favorite product from them?

Ooh what a great box! I like Cargo eye shadows – I find them smooth and blendable. Not all shades are equally pigmented but I guess that’s the case with any brand.
I love getting eye creams in sample size – often they last super long time since you need only a tiny bit.
See what I mean about the hotel size shampoos? 😉

I haven’t really tried the Cargo eyeshadows but their blushes are amazing so it’s good to hear the eyeshadows stack up as well. Yeah most brands have their hits and miss with pigmentation and texture. I have quite a few collections of eye creams so I’m not always as thrilled to see then but I’m exploring Kiehl’s so I was happy to see them incorporated. Haha on the hotel size shampoos. So, to be fair, this is actually the sample that I choose this month. I think my first choice was sold out and it was between this and something else, and this was the better option. I don’t mind it too much, however, I think I feel the same way with eyeshadows. Unless they are incredible colors, or something I’ve been dying to try, I’m usually meh about them. PopSugar is one of the sub boxes that I don’t see hotel size shampoos (probably because everything is full-sized) but I’m not sure if they ship to Canada. They recently introduced a mini box that’s about half the price of the regular one too.

I agree, Cargo blushes are one of my favourites – I think I own almost all of the colours they offer lol Here’s my blush stash, not sure if you ever saw this post:

I would be so mad to get shampoo as a sample in beauty boxes. I just think they should be free. I’m going to write a rant post to discuss why I think beauty boxes should be basically free except for maybe the cost of postage. 😛

Oh I’ll need to check that blush post ASAP because I have an obsession with blushes. *Le sigh* Lol, I so look forward to reading that post! 🙂

I warn you… I’m a bit blush obsessed! ?
stephieestie says
Yeah my “obsession” pales in comparison, lol.
