A quick way to save money yet get a new lip shade is to channel your inner cosmetic chemist and mix different colors of lip products you already own!
Create a deeper lip color by combing a bright red and nude lip liner.
Or, create a pink shade by mixing a nude color with a bright red.
It might take a few tries for you to get an ideal shade but that’s the fun part!
Have a great Wednesday,
Stephanie
What a great idea! I can honestly say I have never done this before but i will try it out!
You should definitely try it out 🙂
I love combining and creating my own lipsticks shade, but haven’t done it in awhile. Love this post for the refresher and it will be great for all the Christmas parties next week 🙂 Janet
I know what you mean. I had done this a while ago but kind of put it in the back burner until recently. Glad I could help and good luck with all the parties! 🙂
I do this often since I’m never really happy with the look of most shades I own. I think it’s awesome you do this too, I’m not alone! lol 😀
I think most of us do it inadvertently at one point or another, but tend to not put much thought in it. As much as I love buying new glosses/lipsticks, my wallet can’t always agree, lol. Great minds think alike 🙂
Those combinations make beautiful colors! Such a great idea! I definitely need to start trying to mix different shades. Thanks for sharing! 🙂 xo
Thanks and no problem! It really is fun to see what kind of shades you can create. Sometimes, the color variations are small but just keep trying different colors. 🙂
You’re welcome! I will definitely do that 🙂
Super idea Stephanie – love the different shades, so pretty!!! Really creative post 🙂 Karen X
Thanks Karen. I know I am not the first person to think of this but I just got into it again recently and decided to share. 🙂
So welcome, its a great idea!! Glad I spotted this – shall certainly keep it in mind 😀 X
