A sleeping mask may just be what your dry skin needs during these chilly months. Simply apply a layer before bedtime to lock moisture in and rinse off in the morning.
Have a great and safe weekend everyone!

Happy Friday everyone!
Make sure you are keeping your skincare products in a cool, dry environment to help preserve their efficacy. Avoid placing them near heat or direct sunlight as this can cause products to break down quicker.

Happy Friday everyone!
Eating foods like salmon, tuna, walnuts, flax and pumpkin seeds that are rich in omega-3 can help combat dry skin from the inside out. So, if topical treatments aren’t enough, take a look at your diet and see if you are incorporating enough Essential Fatty Acids.
Have a lovely weekend everyone! Sephora VIB weekend is here for me and well, you know I’ll be doing some shopping. Nothing too crazy though. 😉

It’s Friday and the weekend is upon us yet again in a flash. Time seems to be zooming by right?
I hear many people tell me they use soap to cleanse their face and complain about their face being very dry. I highly advise people to use a soap-free cleanser because soap tends to have a higher pH level and can disrupt our skin’s protective barrier. Especially during cooler temperatures, our skin needs that protective barrier and if disrupted, it can lead to redness, sensitivity and dryness.
Enjoy the weekend readers!

Calling all chocolate lovers!
Did you know that consuming 1 ounce of dark chocolate with at least 60% cocoa contains high levels of flavonoids, an antioxidant which can protect against sun damage and reduce roughness in skin? Now you know. 🙂

Happy Friday everyone!
Today’s skin tip hits close to home as my grandfather recently discovered he has skin cancer on his ear. Thank God it was caught on time but it serves as a reminder that we need to make sure we are covering all our exposed areas when applying sunscreen. Our ears and the tops of our feet are commonly forgotten places but areas where skin cancer can develop. It’s also a good reminder to have yearly checkups with a dermatologist for safety measures.
Wishing you a safe weekend!

With pumpkin-themed items surrounding us everywhere, here’s some food for thought. Pumpkin seeds contain zinc which may help relieve acne as zinc helps control the sebaceous (oil) glands and aids in healing the skin. Something to think about next time you choose a snack, no?
Have a great weekend everyone and I’ll see you back next week,

Friday is finally here- yay! Time for a skin tip.
An easy way to minimize the appearance of fine lines around the eyes is to moisturize with an eye cream. Lines and wrinkles are more prominent when the skin is dry and adding hydration softens the look.

When you are pregnant, here are three major skincare ingredients to avoid: retinol, Isotretinoin and hydroquinone. If you’re ever in doubt of which ingredients to use, ask your healthcare professional.

It’s Friday and my how this week zoomed by!
This weekend, spend some time doing something that relaxes you. Most skin conditions are exacerbated by stress so whether it be reading a good book or going out for a walk, find something that works for you and carve a little bit of time to do it. Your mind, body and skin will thank you.
Have a great weekend everyone!
